Jump Rope Digest: December 2025 | #News

Dec 22, 2025Janaína Conceição

Welcome, Elite Jumpers 💛

It’s a wrap.
Can you believe 2025 is already coming to an end?

At the beginning of the year, we talked a lot about intention. About setting goals, building habits, and embracing the 1% better mindset — not as pressure, but as a reminder that small actions compound over time. And we invited you to do the same alongside us.

So before we dive into the news, take a second and ask yourself:
How did your year actually go?

Here at Elite Jumps, we’ve been reflecting as a team — and honestly, we’re happy. Not because everything went exactly as planned (it didn’t), but because we moved forward anyway. If we had to put a number on it, we’d say we got about 88% better this year.

Some projects were finalized after long development cycles. Some ideas evolved into something even better than what we originally imagined. Others taught us lessons we didn’t know we needed. And that’s the part we want to emphasize.

Our advice as you close out this year:
Don’t obsess over the 12% (or whatever number it is) that didn’t happen. If you accomplished anything — even if it looked different from your original goal — celebrate it. Own the choices that brought you here. Learn from what didn’t work. And keep moving forward.

A Look Back at 2025

Previous editions:

January | February | March | April | May | June

July | August | September | October | November

Every month carried its own rhythm — momentum, setbacks, breakthroughs, plateaus. And that’s exactly how progress works. Jump rope teaches us that over and over again: you trip, you reset, you jump again.

December Jump Rope News

Here’s what’s been trending in the jump rope world as the year closes:

🧠 Research-Backed Fitness News

  • A December 2025 study in Scientific Reports found that even just 3.5 minutes of light exercise — like active movement with a jump rope — can improve executive function and psychological mood in children. This supports how short, consistent movement breaks improve focus and emotional well-being.

🏆 Wellness Culture

  • The 2025 GQ Wellness Creator Awards just dropped and featured jump rope influencers who are shaping movement culture online — from viral skills-based content to science-inspired training. This signals that jump rope is not just fitness; it’s becoming mainstream movement culture.

📊 What Science Says About Jump Rope

  • Rope skipping consistently shows benefits for cardiorespiratory fitness and VO₂max improvements. Both high-intensity and moderate rope skipping deliver strong aerobic improvements in young adults.

  • Biomechanical research confirms that jump rope engages upper and lower body coordination, builds muscular strength, and supports cardiovascular conditioning — all with low space and equipment needs.

Year in Review: Jump Rope Bingo

Do You Remember Our Bingo Scoring Card?

If you’ve been with us for a while, you probably remember the Jump Rope Bingo Scoring Card — a simple, playful way to track movement, consistency, and personal wins throughout the year.

Since we’re talking about reflection and goals… we’re bringing it back.

How many points did you score in 2025?

We invite you to download the Bingo Scoring Card and actually mark it up. Look at it honestly — not as a judgment tool, but as a snapshot of your year.

👉 Download the Bingo Card:

Once you’ve checked your boxes, share your score on social media and tag @EliteJumpsCo. Share it with friends, pick a small prize, and see who “wins.”

And just to be clear — this is not a competition.
It’s a fun way to stay motivated, reflect, and remember that movement doesn’t have to be serious all the time.

New Launch: Mat Travel Bag by Elite Jumps

The Mat Travel Bag went through several design tweaks and iterations because we didn’t want to rush it. We wanted it to solve a real problem — not just look good on a product page.

Now, it’s finally here.

The bag fits our Standard Jump Rope Mat perfectly, and during December 2025, when you purchase both the mat and bag together, you’ll get 20% off the Mat Travel Bag.

Why We Believe This Can Be a Game Changer

Jumping with a mat isn’t just about convenience — it’s about longevity.

  • A mat helps protect your joints and your rope when training on rough surfaces

  • It gives you freedom to train at the gym, outdoors, while traveling, or at home

  • The three-pocket design makes it easy to carry more than just your mat — ropes, phone, keys, headphones, and small essentials all fit comfortably

  • No more choosing between “I’ll go train” and “I don’t want to carry all that stuff”

When we say “equip, encourage, educate,” we mean it.
We’ll never stop looking for ways to make jump rope more accessible, more sustainable, and more integrated into real life.

Creator Spotlight: Chris Petterson — Fitness Journey

Consistency always pays off — and Chris Petterson is living proof of that.

We’ve been following his journey for a long time, and watching it unfold across the years has been nothing short of inspiring. His jump rope journey started back in 2019, and today, he’s lost over 125 lbs — not through shortcuts, but through showing up again and again.

In this short video, Chris shares a glimpse of that journey:

What we love most is that he doesn’t wait for perfect conditions. He keeps moving — wherever he is.

Here are just a few moments from his training:

  • Jumping in the driveway:

  • Night sessions with the LED Jump Rope:

  • Staying active during the holidays:

  • Jumping in the snow:

  • Snowy days with sunshine:

Chris inspires us not because everything looks easy — but because he keeps going. And while we don’t necessarily recommend jumping in the snow or rain, we do encourage you to find your own version of consistency.

Closing Thoughts

As we close this chapter, we want to leave you with this reminder:

You don’t need a perfect year to move forward.
You don’t need perfect consistency to make progress.
You just need to keep choosing movement — again and again.

If you showed up even a little in 2025, that matters.
Use what you learned. Celebrate what you did. And take that momentum with you into today — not just into the new year.

We’re grateful to be jumping alongside you.

Equip. Encourage. Educate.
