Hey Elite Jumpers,
September has been a busy (and exciting!) month here at Elite Jumps. We just launched our brand-new Sports Performance handle—designed with an improved grip and a premium matte finish. The Beast rope is officially back in stock (our heaviest rope ever!), and we can’t wait to hear your feedback. We’ve also released a new jump rope set designed for endurance and strength, and our design team is hard at work creating a beginner-friendly collection that connects deeply with our brand values.
With the holiday season on the horizon, it’s got us wondering: Who would you give a jump rope to as a holiday gift?
As always, there’s a lot happening—and even more to come.

At Elite Jumps, we truly believe that jump rope is for everyone—not just something we say to sound inspiring.
This month, we shared an interview with Dr. Maribeth Orr, a longevity expert who strongly advocates jump rope training for people over 50. She explained that as we age, we naturally lose fast-twitch muscle fibers, which are crucial for coordination, balance, stability, and reaction time. The good news? You can train them and slow this process down.
Jumping rope challenges your aerobic engine, strengthens your lower body, and supports neuromuscular connections—the wiring between brain and body that often declines with age. Tricks and variations also stimulate the brain, keeping neurotransmitters sharp and active.
Need some inspiration? Hear from our amazing community:
“I started rope jumping at 58. I’m 65 now, and all my joint pain went away. I don’t have to take any more pain pills.”
“I am a 64-year-old trucker, just learning to jump rope. This week I was hiking in the mountains of NC, practicing jump rope, and I plan to continue every day outside my semi.”
“I am a 72-year-old woman who hasn’t jumped rope in decades. It looks fun, good for bones, and general fitness—so I want to give it a try.”
Jump rope really is for kids, adults, and people well into their 70s, 80s, and beyond.

Cordless jump ropes (also called ropeless or training handles) are an underrated training tool. Here’s what they’re great for:
Practicing double unders and speed jumping rhythm without worrying about tripping.
Building arm endurance, especially for competitive jumpers (because it’s the arms—not the legs—that usually burn out first).
Fixing coordination imbalances between your right and left hand. Many jumpers turn the rope unevenly, leading to misses. Training cordless builds symmetry and reduces mistakes.
One of our customers, Beau, summed it up perfectly:
“EXCELLENT training tool for beginners and advanced alike! Perfect for learning Double Unders without whipping yourself… Also, great for travel and indoor sessions. A++” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you’ve ever felt stuck on double unders—or just want to sharpen your form—a cordless system might be your next favorite tool.
University life often means packed schedules, late nights, and not always the healthiest routines. For many students, finding time (and budget) for fitness can be tough. That’s why we love seeing new research highlight jump rope as an affordable, effective option.
A recent article published in Sports explored how a structured jump rope program could benefit non-specialist undergraduates. The researchers tested whether regular jump rope training could improve muscular strength and cardiovascular capacity.
Their findings were clear:
Significant improvements in lower-limb isometric strength
Better cardiovascular efficiency (measured by a reduced Ruffier Index)
The study concluded that jump rope is a low-cost, scalable intervention that can easily be added to physical education programs to boost strength and endurance.
We can’t stress enough how valuable this is: science keeps backing up what our community already knows—jump rope training works.

At Elite Jumps, education is at the heart of our mission. This month, our Director of Education, Devin Meek, dropped a new tutorial: the EB Wrap Variation.
It starts like a traditional EB, but instead of hopping, you step through, unwrap, and flow into the next swing. Here’s a quick breakdown:
✨ Step-by-step:
👉 One hand crosses in front, the other behind your back
👉 Step through as the rope comes down
👉 Shift your weight and unwrap the rope
👉 Finish with a side swing on the opposite side
Want to level it up? Add a turn, or spice it up with double/triple unders.
🎥 Save this tutorial, practice it, and don’t forget to tag us @elitejumpsco—we love sharing your progress!
