Comes with a bare cable protection kit (crimps, heat shrink tubing and rubber ends) for securing the cable after cutting and resizing.

A fast cable for use with a speed or double under jump rope. Very light and cuts through the air with ease. It is faster than standard coated speed cables, but has no coating, and will wear out more quickly.

Great replacement cables for a jump rope team

These cables are great for our jump rope team to replace the speed ropes for our jumpers. Very easy to use. One side of the cable is already solidly fixed. Pricing is very reasonable. If your jumpers go through cables due to normal wear and tear, or if your jumpers grow and need longer cables, this is a perfect cable for a replacement! It works with all kinds of jump rope handles, so the jumpers can keep their favorite handles. You can quickly help them get a new cable that works.

Won't use anything but this rope

I absolutely love this rope. When you are jumping rope with this cable, it holds its shape in a nice wide loop making it easier to jump. Because of the wide loop it is forgiving when your hands may not be doing the same thing at the same time which is generally what happens when we get tired. I recommend this rope to all of my athletes at the gym I coach at. I highly recommend this cable!

What is best for double unders in competition, I.e. the fastest and least fatiguing: the bare cable or the 1.1mm ultra thin cable?

@jake the 1.1mm is definitely faster and less fatiguing... but beware it is VERY light and for all but the best jumpers it is very difficult to use because you can't feel the rope when jumping. We only recommend for people who absolutely crush already with a bare cable
